THREE VERSIONS FOR ONE POEM

STAINS

Tired of fighting and imposing my way
in a rare moment of tenderness
             my white flag I wave
Even if stained by dripping fat.

LYRIC LOVER

You don't really care
about the men I sleep with
             but you die of jealousy
             when I write them poetry.

DUAL CITIZENSHIP

             Some days I feel
l was meant to be  a man:
             I shout profanities,
             I curse at the traffic
I bang doors and go to bars
             to get drunk
and end up pissed with myself.
             Some days I feel
I was meant to be a woman
            and I just forget.
